TomTom thinks with electric drivers

AMSTERDAM (AFN) – Navigation service provider TomTom is going to make it easier for customers to plan routes for electric cars. The company is offering two new pieces of software, called api’s, for this purpose.

The Long Distance EV Routing API allows customers to plan routes longer than an electric car can travel on a single battery charge. This uses data from TomTom on the location and availability of chargers and includes the time needed to charge the car in the expected arrival time. The EV Charging Stations Availability API shows the availability of charging stations and what connections they have.

Developers can build the new api into their software immediately.

The company still has a 65% interest in the subsidiary company remaining after this IPO.
This stake alone is worth nearly $220 million at the time of writing, while the company itself has a current market capitalization of less than $110 million.
It therefore appears that there is a significant undervaluation.
